Why We Don't Sell 10ml Bottles: The Real Value of a Household Staple
We don't often sell our lavender oil in 10ml bottles, and it's a deliberate choice rather than an oversight. The only time you'll find 10ml from us is as an accompaniment to a sleep mask or a lavender sachet, never as a bottle in its own right. Everything else comes as a proper, large lavender essential oil bottle, from a Gift Box with two 10ml essential lavender oil bottles to 50ml lavender essential oil up to 250ml lavender essential oil.
Here's why that matters for you.
A staple, not a souvenir
Think about how a good, single-estate olive oil is actually sold. Not in 10ml vials, and not in a catering tin either. It comes in a proper bottle, usually 250ml, 500ml, sometimes 750ml, sized so you can splash it into a pan generously, dress a salad properly, and get through the whole bottle while it's still fresh, before that peppery edge fades. Nobody buys a sample size of a staple, and nobody wants a bottle so large it goes flat before you've finished it either. We treat our top quality single-estate essential lavender oil the same.
Our single-estate lavender essential oil is used repetitively everyday, around the house. A few drops on your pillow at night. A splash in the bath. A pipette in the washing machine softener compartment. A spray in your drawers and wardrobes to see off moths (fear not, it doesn't stain). Once you start using it properly, a 10ml bottle would be gone within a day or two, and you'd be back buying another before you'd even settled into the ritual.
Try everything, without rationing
The real benefit of a large lavender essential oil bottle, whether that's the 50ml lavender essential oil size or the full 250ml lavender essential oil size, is that it lets you experiment. When a bottle feels scarce, you ration it. You use two drops when six would do it properly. You save it "for best" and it sits half-used in a drawer for a year.
A larger bottle removes that hesitation. You can be generous with it: try it in the bath one week, on your pillow the next, in a diffuser after that, and see what genuinely earns a permanent place in your routine. That's difficult to do with 10ml, and it rather defeats the point of an oil this good, undiluted, CENSO-accredited, and grown on one farm in Provence, if you're too nervous to actually use it.
The maths works in your favour
There's also a simple value argument, and it's one we think customers deserve to see spelled out rather than buried in a price tag. Because we sell in proper sizes rather than tiny ones, the most high quality single-estate lavender essential oil you'll find is available for as little as £3.29 per ml, and that's before any applicable offers or discounts have been taken. Price per ml is the honest way to compare essential oils, far more useful than comparing sticker prices on bottles of very different sizes, and it consistently rewards buying a larger bottle of something you know you'll use.
There's a further benefit: a large lavender essential oil bottle means one piece of glass doing the work of several small ones, so less packaging overall and fewer boxes delivered to your door.
What the 10ml bottles are for
None of this means small formats are pointless, they're just not how we sell a standalone bottle of oil. When a 10ml comes paired with a sleep mask or a lavender sachet, it's there to complement a product that's already sized for its purpose, and it works well there. It just isn't how we think everyday, undiluted lavender oil should be sold on its own.
If lavender oil is going to earn its place as a genuine household staple in your home, the way it has in ours, it needs a bottle sized for how often you'll actually reach for it.
